We often ask God why bad things happen to good people. Why is this or that thing allowed in our lives? We wonder why our prayers are not answered the way we pray. Why is evil allowed to have its way? What happened to righteousness and justice? This is Habakkuk’s burden. He questions God about this very thing.
My thoughts are still on the background of Habakkuk, the things we learned about his era. If you missed that, you can catch it here, Introduction to the Burden in the Book of Habakkuk.
