Here’s what one reader has to say about this study:

Cindy is a true gift with her wisdom and insight, as well as her beautiful way with words. This book, along with all of her studies, dives deep into Scripture to uncover sometimes hard to grasp truths and shed the light of understanding on them. If you’ve ever wondered what predestination is all about and if your life has a purpose, this study is a great resource!

Are you as excited as I am about this destiny study? No? Well, read these snippets:

My Life, His Plans:

Let’s look at a few more verses to help figure this out. Before we do that, I want to say that the Bible is full of references to the word “book” or “books”. While there are many references to a variety of books, I want to focus on particular books that concern us.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Psalm 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

What are the Books of Heaven:

Is our destiny written in the books of heaven? What are the books of heaven anyway?

Let’s open with this verse that illustrates what goes on in the spirit realm.

Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. KJV

Jesus prayed for Peter. He represented him in the courts of heaven in defense against the accuser of the brethren.

Satan is our adversary, the accuser is threatened by believers who are moving in the will of God. He wants to stop you so he looks for ways to distract, discourage, and defeat you. In particular, he looks for accusations, or sin, to hold against you, and when he finds sin in your life, he demands a trial so he can defeat you in heaven’s court.

Satan knows that when you have an active walk of faith, when you say “yes” to the Holy Spirit’s leading, that you are a threat to his plan to defeat God’s kingdom.

Called & Chosen:

The book of Ephesians is rich in telling us who we are in Christ Jesus. We also learn what God does for us.

Ephesian 1:4, 5 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, KJV

I love Ephesians. I don’t know why but maybe it has to do with the many references of who I am in Christ. Let’s look at a few as I want to bolster your faith.

1:3 I am blessed in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

1:4 he chose me in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
