15 Christian Women Bloggers at the Table

I’m excited to share that this is the First Anniversary of my blog, Go – Gather – Grow!  This has been quite a year for me on this blogging journey. From the time God called me to write to today, it has been an adventure in learning the mechanics of blogging and writing what He has given me to write. He has kept it interesting too, meeting bloggers and making new friends along the way. And today, we will meet 15 Christian women bloggers as they share their message with us.

When I first started blogging, I had this idea that I would write and God would do all the rest of it, you know, like get the blog out there for others to find and read. Pretty funny, huh? It didn’t take long for me to figure out that it doesn’t work that way.

I have my part to do while God has His part. Yes, I write for Him as He is my Audience of One. I have a note on my monitor to remind me of that whenever discouragement sets in. It reads “I write for an Audience of One and whomever He invites.” I wrote a post on that as well to encourage other bloggers on those days when they wonder why they’re doing this ministry.

Because, yes, this is a ministry, a God-given ministry. Some bloggers write about marriage, family life, self-care, Bible study, Christian living, and even how to help other bloggers blog better. The list of niches is long and God inspires each and every one of us.

My niche is specific to teaching the inductive Bible study method though I also write general study and encouragement posts. Outside of blogging, I have also led a women’s prayer group and Bible Studies as well as an online study group on Facebook.

This past year, I have met so many wonderful women and have enjoyed chatting with them to get to know them better. I have always said that Facebook erases the miles between us and it surely does as we can have both audio and video chats.

Help me celebrate my anniversary as we sit at the table of friendship and meet 15 Christian women bloggers through their blog posts.

Here’s a tip: The turquoise links will take you to their blog or post. If you don’t have time to read each post, click each post, pin an image to read for later, OR, bookmark each post in your Favourites! OR, pin my main image to catch up on everything later!

Devotions and Prayer

Amber Fox writes over at All Natural Joy and has shared a post to offer you tips for your devotional time: 5 Ways to Have an Effective Quiet Time.

My passion is to help moms to first love Jesus and then teach them to serve Him by ministering to their families. I want to help make a generational difference from an eternal perspective. Together with my husband, I have been busy raising seven kids to love and serve Jesus. I have a heart for family discipleship as well as teaching moms to fill their souls with God’s Word. You’ll find quiet time resources here as well. May your time at All Natural Joy be blessed.

Tammie Pittsley has a faith-based blog at Life Love and Jesus and writes to encourage families to live strong in their faith. She desires to encourage others in a strong prayer life and has written a great post encouraging us how to pray for our pastors: 20 Ways to Pray for Your Pastor.

So, who am I? I am unapologetically a believer in Jesus as He is the only way of salvation for people in a sin-weary world. I am a mom of two boys who are grown into wonderful men with families of their own. I have three beautiful grandchildren (and one on the way) whom I love to spoil. I am a student of the Word of God and a wife of 34 years who has weathered some fierce storms in my marriage and come through to still waters on the other side. I live with clinical depression and constant weight issues. I am far from perfect, but I know the One who is. I am sometimes loving, sometimes self-absorbed, and sometimes apathetic. I am real. Join me as we discover the beauty of living and loving with Jesus as our Guide.

Here’s a blog to get to know: sarahgeringer.com is authored by Sarah Geringer. Are you wondering what intercessory prayer is all about? Sarah can help you understand more about that through her post: The Power of Intercessory Prayer.

Sarah Geringer writes about finding peace in God’s Word at sarahgeringer.com and is the author of three books. Sarah lives in her beloved home state of Missouri with her husband and three children, in the prime viewing area for the Great Solar Eclipses of 2017 and 2024!

Bible Study

Momma’s Living Room is a wonderful Bible Study/Devotional blog by Erin Nicholson. Erin teaches us how to slay giants in her post, Slaying the Giant of Pride.

A little about me, I’m married to Justin and mom to two little boys, Asher and Malachi. We live in the Pacific Northwest surrounded by mountains and evergreen trees. In the winter, we enjoy curling up in our favorite blankets to watch our favorite movies. When the weather is nice, we enjoy frequenting the nearby parks, eating popsicles, and stealing away to our local Dairy Queen for ice cream and french fries. We’re a simple family and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Over at Momma’s Living Room, I write devotionals and Bible Studies to encourage, inspire, and challenge you in your everyday pursuit of Jesus Christ.

Lisa Yvonne is an author and writes on her blog, Graceful Abandon. Check out her great study from Deuteronomy, How Not to Fail at God’s Multiple Choice Test in Deuteronomy. Who would have thought there was a test?

Lisa Yvonne is married to her best friend and together they are on the adventure of a lifetime raising 8 kids and living out the Great Commission. Lisa writes to encourage women with grace and truth.

Grace Unmerited is a Faith | Family | Lifestyle blog by Lauren Prezzano. Today she offers us 10 Tips to Study Your Bible. And you know I’m all over this as I love Bible Study!

I am Mom to one amazing little girl and wife to an awesome husband. But, most importantly I am a child of God.

I was saved at an early age, but just recently started learning what it means to walk in the way God has called me to walk. I am far from perfect, but each and every day God provides me with His unmerited grace.

Esther Hosea blogs at His Dearly Loved Daughter, has written a wonderful 3-part study on Joshua. Here’s part 1: Joshua: A Strong and Courageous Life of Victory. While you’re reading part 1, slip over to read part 2 and 3 as well!

I write about my journey through the various stages of betrayal trauma recovery. At the end of 2016, I discovered that my husband of nearly 17 years and the love of my life had a serious sexual addiction and had been repeatedly unfaithful throughout our marriage. Obviously, that discovery was devastating and nearly ruined me… but God. God showed up (as He always does) in the middle of that dark time and pursued me with reckless abandon. He showed me again and again that no matter what happens in this world, my identity is in Him. Who I am is defined by Him, and He says that I am His dearly loved daughter.

Over the past year, we have had front row seats to God’s amazing redemptive power. We’re learning that it doesn’t matter how badly we’re broken, God can make us new! He is remaking me into a whole and healthy daughter. He’s remaking my husband into a man after His own heart. He’s remaking our marriage into a beautiful, grace-filled testimony of His wonderful love!

Steppes of Faith is home to Gina Gardner. You know I love Bible Study and here’s another great study on How Peter Became the Rock of the Early Church.

We all have stories and issues and situations. We all have our messes, me included most definitely. I for sure have my fair share of issues- as a wife, a parent, a friend, and as a daughter of the throne. Nothing is easy. Ever. But it’s all okay! Because God loves us right where we are. Right here, right now.

Won’t you join me walking across the steppes of faith? Just one at a time? Together we’ll figure this crazy life out and enjoy the journey too. Let’s step out together.

We have all experienced discouragement at one time or other and Charlie White wants to encourage you with 3 Things to do When You are Discouraged.

Charlie is the homeschooling mother of four behind the blog MississippiMom.  She writes about faith and family and a whole lot of grace.

Embracing the Unexpected is authored by Maree Dee who has written a special post from the perspective of a mother who lives with a child with mental illness. Her post is Blessings in the Midst of My Child’s Mental Illness.

Maree Dee is a Writer | Speaker | Advocate – passionate about “Embracing Life In The Midst Of The Unexpected.” She is a work in progress, accepting God’s grace and mercy every day. Meet up with Christine Wood at Living With Margins. Are you or someone you know dealing with disappointment? Christine offers some help through her post, Dealing with Disappointment

My name is Christine Wood. I am a wife and mother, pastor and crafter. I live in Brisbane, Australia, with my husband and the youngest of our three children. I have a full and busy life, and like many women I know, struggle to find a good work/home/faith balance that honours God and serves my family well.

Spiritual Growth

Kelly R. Baker, author and writer at Kelly R. Baker shares with us how to grow spiritually in this post, A Process for Overcoming Weaknesses.

Kelly R. Baker is a Bible study teacher, writer, and mentor. She serves with her husband in leading the worship ministry at their church. You will probably find her sneaking a bite (or more) of organic dark chocolate in between wrangling her four kids. Her greatest passion is helping women thrive in Christ.

Timberley Gray blogs at Living Our Priorities. If you’ve wondered what the dangers are of women getting together to talk, check this out, The Danger of Girl Talk.

Timberley and her husband, André, do life together as a husband and wife team who, raise a family, serve as bi-vocational Pastors, and help others find the balance in life through their blog Living Our Priorities. Like many people, they found themselves frustrated trying to find balance with their faith, family, and work. That’s when they discovered the priorities of God. And once they purposed to live by them, it not only changed their marriage, it changed their life! Now they find great joy in inspiring others to live within the priorities of God.

I love to read about the Holy Spirit and Lauren C Moye, wrote this post to help with our understanding: How God Speaks to us Through the Holy Spirit. You can read more of her posts at Chaotic Life of Lauren.

Lauren has had a lifelong passion for writing and for helping people. Once upon a time, she would have laughed if somebody suggested she write nonfiction to achieve those goals. A couple of years ago, she would have scoffed if somebody suggested she write for her peer groups. Today she’s writing to help other moms find Faith in the Chaos.

Meet Lureta Ector who blogs at Journeying by Faith. Lureta wants to encourage you in Becoming A Fearless Woman of God as she shares in this post.

I am a beloved child of God who lives daily by his grace.  I am a loved wife,  a proud mama of two and an RN.  I am a new blogger pushing past fear to embrace God’s purpose for my life, hoping to encourage and inspire others on the same journey. I love coffee, sunny days and beachside vacations.  Did I say I love coffee?!
